Managing Director Briana DeHaan named GlobeSt. 2025 Woman of Influence

SAN FRANCISCO (April 21, 2025) — Northmarq proudly announces that Briana DeHaan, managing director of Debt + Equity in San Francisco, has been named a 2025 Woman of Influence by GlobeSt. This prestigious award honors female leaders in commercial real estate who have significantly impacted the industry.
Briana exemplifies leadership through her deep industry expertise, career ambition and commitment to mentorship and community.
“Briana has emerged as an unwavering expert in the CRE industry over the past decade,” said Managing Director Nate Prouty. “She’s a top producer and leader, contributing to Northmarq’s platform while holding leadership roles in key industry organizations.”
In 2024, Briana closed $300 million in financing across multifamily, office, industrial and mixed-use assets. She is known for navigating complex transactions with precision — whether sourcing joint venture (JV) equity during development droughts or recapitalizing deals on short notice.
“Our clients rely on Briana for sound advice and flawless execution,” Prouty added.
Andrea Cu of Pacific Urban Investors praised Briana’s professionalism: “Her strong relationships and experience enable her to guide clients through uncertain markets.”
One notable 2024 deal includes financing for Patriot Pointe, a 129-unit multifamily asset in Utah. Briana structured a rate buydown with a correspondent life company to improve her client’s cash flow.
Since joining Northmarq, Briana has closed over $3.5 billion in transactions, spanning all major property types. She combines market knowledge, strategic outreach and lender relationships to deliver tailored capital solutions.
Promoted to managing director — one of the youngest in the company — Briana now oversees team development, training and production growth. She is also a Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) “champion,” providing feedback to optimize technology tools across the platform.
Briana is a passionate advocate for diversity in CRE finance, recruiting women to her team and promoting inclusion through leadership roles in organizations like the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP), UC Berkeley Real Estate Alumni Association (BREAA) and the Bay Area Mortgage Association. She’s served on Northmarq’s DEI Council and actively supports industry groups including Urban Land Institute (ULI) San Francisco, Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), Commercial Real Estate Women Network (CREW) and The Women of Real Estate.
A former Division I field hockey player at UC Berkeley, Briana continues to compete with the Olympic Club’s national championship-winning team. She holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from UC Berkeley and remains engaged with her alma mater as a guest lecturer and student mentor.
Briana and her peers will be honored at GlobeSt.’s Women of Influence awards dinner in Denver on July 22, 2025.
